Mateusz is renting a lakeside villa with a private dock - and you're on the list. Sunset BBQs, bonfires by the water, kayaks at dawn, and a motorboat when we feel fast. Come find out.
The trip
A villa on the water
The Great Masurian Lakes - a thousand-lake maze of forest, reeds, and slow water in north-east Poland. We're basing ourselves in a wooden villa with its own dock, a few minutes by boat from Mikołajki.

What we'll get up to
A loose menu, not a schedule. Pick what you feel like each day.
Motorboat rentals
Split a boat for a day and open up the lakes - cross to the next bay, find a quiet cove, tow whoever's brave on a tube.
Kayaking at dawn
Glassy water, mist on the reeds, a heron or two. Take a kayak out before anyone else is up.
Sunset BBQs
Grill on the deck while the lake turns gold. Bring your signature dish - we'll sort the kiełbasa.
Bonfires by the water
Late nights around the fire pit - marshmallows, bad guitar, good company, and a sky full of stars.
Do nothing
A hammock, a book, a swim, a nap. The whole point is that there is no plan if you don't want one.
The money
What it costs
The villa runs 100 zł to 250 zł per person, per night depending on the room you grab. Everything else is split as we go - here's a rough daily picture.
